why use a leaf blower wash it then take it for a quick ride then use a shammy to dry it

as far as the 2 bucket system it works great but go to home depot or lowes get the same bucket for 5 bucks then order the bucket stainer from summit youll save a shit ton of money and the same exact thing

Depending on where you live (US or Canada or elsewhere) best thing to do is find a website with decent shipping price. You'll want a waffle weave drying towel. It's microfiber. You'll probably want it to be as large as possible since we are talking about a truck. Remember to fold a few times and watch for dust/dirt that gets cought in the towel. If one side gets a little dirty of wet, change sides. Keep folding to expose a clean fresh side. I will usually get the microfiber damp to start and wring the water out since the microfiber doesn't really like picking up water until it gets a little damp. I will sometimes use some quick detailer while drying if there are any water spots that have dried on before I could get them off.

I used to do the quick drive, but there is always an increase chance of picking up dirt and having it dry on the paint. That's why I use the cordless leaf blower (18V). Saves the towel some work and also avoids me touching the paint to possibly damage it. The clear coat on cars is good and bad. Owning a black truck any little scratch or swirl gets amplified by the sun like crazy.

Just examples;

CAD - Auto obsessed

I read through this and agree with everything. The only thing I do different on my black ram is I never make circles. Evertime I wash or dry, always a straight line. Hood and roof front to back and the side panels the same and work down.

I use all Meguiar's products. I grew up watching my brothers using it. One is a bodyman for a ford dealership and they use their professoinal line. I only use Armor All on my wheel wells to keep them from getting tar stuck to the inside. Basiclly shoot tire foam up there.

Mark.
