:wavey:I was wondering what would be a good exhaust system to run on my 1996 Ram 1500 w/ the 5.2 318. I am planning on putting a dual system on it. I have long tube headers at home, and I would like to now what kind of exhaust system will be loud to certain point. I don't really want people to loose hearing or car alarms to go off when I drive by. I would also like a nice low growl to it as well. I just don't know which will sound like I want it to. I don't know if you need anymore information on what other mods I have, but any advise is much appreciated.
Thanks

This is mine it is a single chamber muffler to a dual exhaust with 3 1/2''x16" tips
also you can go with a cherry bomb muffler with 3 1/2" pipes with tips
P.S. it was recorded on my phone if you want to hear it better i dont mind re-recording it and show you what i have.
I had a Magnaflow single in / dual out muffler with dual tailpipes on my 5.2L truck. Sounded good! I like the Magnaflow sound. Nice burble at idle, deep growl just running down the road, when you get on it you can definitely hear it. It's not intrusive nor obnoxious.
If you want true duals, the go with the magnaflow muffler and get a shop to fab up the pipe. You can go with a 2-in/2-out muffler to save some $, plus you'll get some good sound.
