My truck needed front wheel bearings which I installed. Tightened up to finger snug, checked play, used a half inch ratchet and socket to tighten up to no play and turned maybe one hole of nut lock. Drove for 3 days around town, no high speed, and checked again to day. Left side had play, right side had none. Been checking on line, and saw where some said it should be over 100 ft. lbs of torque. then I saw about 10 lbs. Does anyone know what it should be. Seems like the bearing would go to pieces if torqued to over 100 lbs. Never put that kind of pressure on any wheel bearing even John Deere farm tractors. Any advice.
