The question I get the most is if you need to adjust the tips. Yes, you will need to adjust the tips.

And for parts if you decide you want to tackle this yourself. You will need a Borla #40085 Muffler, some 3 in Pipe (roughly 7-10 inches), a 3" in to 2.25" out Y-Pipe, and a welder. The Muffler and Y-Pipe is available from Bully's Performance, a reputable muffler shop should be able to install this setup with ease.

Its been close to a year since I installed this setup on my Ram and I have noticed that it has gotten louder over time, probably a few decibels, nothing crazy. But it does sound real good and I get compliments on it quite often. I am on the fence about cutting off the resonators, but I might as I don't see me installing headers for a while, maybe once I get out of the Army and return to Texas.
Thanks Craigsredram for posting this. This has prompted me to do this Borla install as well. Should get it done the 31st. as soon as the 3" stainless straight pipe comes in...

Best Regards,

Mike

Now comes the agonizing waiting and trying to find a good shop in my area to do the install.

BTW, bullys made this way too easy. My bank account is going to be hurting this year

Thanks alot to the OP of this Borla thread. I ordered mine and had it installed yesterday, wow sounds great! Not too loud but very noticeable and no drone in the cab. Drove with the wife 100 miles yesterday going from 10mph in traffic to 80mph and love the way it sounds! Local muffler shop installed for $125
Ordered the Borla XP-1 and Y branch from Bully's, great service, price and fast shipping, was here in 3 days.

I did the same set-up. I find there is no drone as long as it stays under 1100 rpms. But once you get to 1500 it gets loud! Not bad on long stretches of highway, but driving on the freeway and over overpasses it can get repetitive. Wonder is taking out the resonnators would make it better or worse....
