Blowing moldy air

I have a 2002 Ram and I am not sure if there is a cabin filter or not. But when I turn on the air in the mornings or it has been sitting a long time, I get an initial huge haft of moldy air blown out.

I was wondering what products or techniques folks used to get rid of that nastiness. I need something that will kill the problem without any strong perfume or chemical residual smell as I have a respiratory medical condition and chemical odors or strong perfumes causes respiratory distress.

i don't know much about the 2nd gen trucks but i think they also suffer from the 1st gen trucks with a/c have stuff gets in the cold air intake for the heater box and there is really no way to get it out without taking everything apart.

i don't know if you can install a cabin air filter in yours

this website has some good suggestions, including
mix of three parts water to one part hydrogen peroxide sprayed down the front air intake grill may get rid of the smell, and kill the funk. Plus its completely orderless, and cheap
