I have an early 02 2500 ram 4x4 dually that I love dearly. It would run good and then die. Ran the codes it said injection pump. Changed injection pump and lift pump, same problem it's not getting fuel. Ran hose into tank plugged it into the lift pump problem went away! I have tried to find a sending unit w/out pump but they don't offer them anymore.:thk: What are my options?

I don't know anything about diesel fuel systems

Yesterday i read something about upgrading the pump that is inside the tank

They removed the unit from the tank, cut out the pump by cutting the 3 clips & removing it, they then drilled 3 holes, about 1 1/2" from the bottom to allow diesel to flow in, then they added some hoses & a few other things to the upper part of the unit & ran hoses to an external pump, it may have been this kit
