Finally got my hands on a superchips programmer. Did the gas saver tune today and the truck did pick up. It seems to be running better then before and the transmission shifts so much nicer. Still havent done the performance tune yet gonna try it out sometime this weekend and see how well it works out. have a question though, if my stock stuff is stored in the programmer, does that mean that I can't use the programmer on another truck until I restore the stock settings in mine? Like my buddy has a hemi in his ram and we wanna do the performance tune on it but I have my trucks info stored in the programmer and he doesnt wanna loose his stock settings.
Your assumption is correct. The programmer is VIN specific which means you can only load a tune on one vehicle at a time. If you want to transfer the program to another truck, you have to return yours to stock.
They are limited to one VIN at a time. BTW, Did you just use the programmed settings, or did you set your own rev limits, etc.? I just ordered one, and am new to modifying. Any recommendations?
