OK, so now been driving my new RAM since 1st September; what a beast and what a head turner. My kids ask why is everyone staring at us!
It's very comfortable and luxurious compared to my old Nissan Navara, good as that was (didn't breakdown once). I'd done 91,000 miles in 3.5 years; I'll prob. do similar in the RAM. So, very glad it's got LPG! With 34/35mpg from the Navara and approx. 18mpg from the RAM the LPG bill is slightly less per mile than the diesel bill was when driving the Nissan. And I can stand up straight after a 6 hour drive - air suspension is worth having (feels more like my old Citroen C5 with Hydrostatic suspension).
Despite what people say, country lanes (and I do plenty of them) are no problem for this larger vehicle. Took a couple of weeks to get used to the size, but now no slowing for anything, lest I use more fuel to get back to speed!
The only real benefit the Navara had over the RAM is the cornering; not that the RAM won't corner, but the Navara would fly round corners and hold very firm. I'm told that's due to something called a wishbone; whatever that might be.
Up loaded some pics last night, presume readers can access these to see; let me know of not. Still trying to get the hang of this site.
