Haven't gotten that far yet. Still at 2,000 miles. I will do first oil change at 3,000 (using synthetic) and then change the oil and rotate tires from then on out at 5,000 mile increments (unless a did some extreme towing across country or some other thing inbetween).
I did my first oil and filter change at 750 miles to get rid of the tiny metal shavings caused by initial break in, then at 1500 miles I did another oil and filter change and switched to synthetic. From here on out I will change every 5000 miles. I rotate tires every 10,000 miles.
Follow the Oil Life Monitor for Oil Changes. The algorithm is a lot more sophisticated than just a set mileage. Just remember it doesnt keep up with time so you need to still need to be careful not to exceed 6 months.
When I bought the truck, I paid an extra $500 to get unlimited lifetime oil changes (every three months or 3k miles - whichever comes first). Spendy up front but I plan on having the truck for a while so I figure it's worth it.
