Does anyone have a billet antenna on their truck. if so how well does it work with their radio compared to the factory antenna. and where did you get it. im looking at the ones that moes performance carries.
I heard guys saying they had the same reception without the antenna even on haha. I doubt it will change much man. You should be fine with the smallest one they have!
Ive also wonderd about these. Mine is funny... If its unscrewd even a little bit the radio wont play nothin but static. If you get one let us know how it goes.
I had one, and I was not a fan. It looked good, but I definitely lost radio reception, it got pretty annoying. The factory antenna was much better, I got rid of my stubbie antenna.
I had a stubby antennea and lost some reception. Wasn't bad but annoying. I have since taken my stock one a cut it down. Its about 12 inches and works really good.
my billet one blows haha it came off my ranger looks good radio reception blows but i having 10,000 + songs on my ipod you never really run out of shit to listen to haha
I took mine off when I got my truck. It just stuck out like a sore thumb on my black truck. I'm thinking about getting a short black billet one just for looks . I only listen to satellite radio anyways.
I've got a short $10 version from AutoZone (I think?). I like to look but needed to hear the World Cup game on FM the other day @ lunch and really noticed the limited reception. Lost the signal temporarily going under underpasses and noticed more static than I would've expected. This is all in metro Houston! I will probably be going back to the stock aerial when the Sirius subscription runs out.
