i have a 99 dodge ram with a 5.2 automatic the brake lights are out both its not the bulb cause i have a trailer brake set up and if i push my trailer brakes they work fine. its not the brake switch its been replaced... guys any ideas need help:sad::sad:

Check the fuse for the brake lights and look for any loose or frayed wires coming out of the brake switch.
If not that, then you have a dead short somewhere in the circuit, probably caused by a frayed wire, up against the frame or other metal where the wire goes through the body.
