The 2010's were 6.6 to 60 and a 15.3 quarter...just made you want to cry a little on the inside, considering the same year 6th gen GTI was making nearly identical horsepower in an I-4, but at a lower weight was able to take out the V6 stock for stock. The 2014's are better now for sure, and there is quite a bit that can be done to them to make them much faster than stock, so my intention wasn't to say they are all slow (especially not when worked on)

Is that in relation to my comment that the z28 is a beast?
As you said the 2010 and older V6 Mustangs need quite a bit of work before they run any kind of decent times. The 2011 and newer 3.7's run pretty good right out of the gate and can surprise quite a few V8 cars with simple bolt-ons and a tune.

So what does the V6 Mustang run off the floor as compared to the 14.2 Camaro? I never realized these 6 cylinders were so fast, lol. I don't normally race any cars because of the disadvantage. As a matter of fact I haven't raced anyone in a while. Nice looking red Mustang btw.

BBK long tubes
O/R Xpipe
Flowmaster axleback
Aluminum driveshaft
BBK 73 MM TB
Ported upper and lower intakes
93 octane Lund Racing tune
JLT CAI
UPR UCA and LCA's
Strange 10 way adjustable rear shocks

17" x 4.5" front skinny wheels and 17" x 9.5" rear wheels for the track
19" x 9.5" wheels with 275/40/19 tires for daily driving
Race weight of the car at the track with a 1/4 tank of gas and me in it (I weigh 235 pounds) was 3,525

Car's best ET was 12.600
Car's best trap speed was 109.9 MPH

I had a best 60 foot time of 1.700. That was on 295/45/17 MT drag radials.

For the most part they are a low 14 second car off the showroom. My son's stock down to the paper air filter 2012 3.7 Mustang with 2.73 gears and the 6 speed manual trans ran a 13.78 @ 101 MPH.

Thanks for the compliment on the car.

It was tough to get rid of the car but I wanted a new 4WD Ram truck and the only way to afford one was to sell my 2000 Ram 1500 EC 2WD truck and trade the Mustang in on the new truck. I'm happy with my truck so far!

Motortrend pumped out a 13.9 @ 100mph in the 2013 v6 Stang, pretty damn good for a stock n/a v6.

That's pretty crazy, that's a hell of a lot of work done!

It is just the basic bolt-ons that are available for the 3.7, nothing out of the ordinary except for the porting of the upper and lower intakes. If you look at what time the Motor Trend car that you qouted ran I had an improvement of 1.3 seconds and right at 10 MPH in the 1/4 mile with those mods.
