Default 2012 ram

Im currently running nitto trail grapplers 35x12.5 R20 with a 6in lift on a 4x4 express with the 5.7 I'm getting 5 city mpg and 10-11 highway miles I'm sick of the gas millage i put of 14,000 miles on these tires and i want a new tire.
Im currently looking at two tires the Dick Cepek fun country and the Good Year duratrac both tires are 275 65 20 and the price is basically the same only a 10 dollar difference. I was wondering which tire got you the best millage and best wear I'm mainly concerned about millage since i drive everyday.

Have you recalibrated your speedometer for the larger tires? And are you hand calculating your mileage or going off the EVIC? Either way, if you haven't recalibrated your speedometer both numbers are way off. I pretty much guarantee that you're getting better mileage than you think.

With your speedometer not being correct your truck thinks you're going a shorter distance than you actually are. That's why your numbers are way off. Plus for a proper calculation you need to be doing it from fill up to fill up, not eyeing it off your gauge. When you fill up you want it full to the same point every time as well, don't over fill once and then not the next time because your numbers will be off.

Once you get your speedometer corrected and calculate your mileage properly I'm sure you'll find your numbers are quite a bit better than what you're thinking.
