I finally finished everything up today. I gotta to say that I'm very happy that I went with the 35's. Leveling kit is the Rough Country 2.5" front with the optional 1.5" rear(didn't want my a$$ dragging while towing).:D The tires are Dick cepek Fun Country II 35x12.5/17 and the wheels are the (now discontinued) Dick Cepek chrome DC-1's. I was also thinking about putting bushwacker fender flares on it...but I kinda like the way it looks now...any thoughts?

Looks awesome. I've just started to look at wheels and tires for my 07 1500 Mega Cab 4x4. Probably go with a 3" lift (3" front/2" rear BDS kit) and possibly 35's on 18" or 20" wheels. Still have to sort out all of the offsets and backspacings to make sure there is no rubbing with minimal tire sticking out. Your setup has inspired me!

Yes your truck will look much better with the 35" tires. You have a Mega Cab which has the HD suspension so you are sitting higher already. The lift you want to go with will look like a 5" on a normal 1500. Looking at his pics the tires barely fit under the wheel wells, your will have room and look like they are supposed to be there.

You should go with a negative offset of between -12mm and -20mm. That will bring out the tires past the body similar to his truck. you will not have any rubbing with that set up. If you are going to do that then fender flares should be something to look at. I had my tires out like that and it makes a puddle dangerous haha. At least with the flares you keep the truck protected and even help keep it clean
