I'm not being rude but don't say that it is just bent valves. All intake valves are hitting the head and will not close. I have no idea what happened

What do you mean all valves are hitting the head and will not close? I can see in the pic they are bent. If that nub on the cam sheered off and the timing got off then it could certainly make all the valves hit the pistons. Just one side or both heads are like this?

Well....there is no doubt as to what the final problem was. With the keying nub sheared off the cam, the time would have gone way out and caused valve/piston contact that bent the valves, BUT...what caused the keying nub to shear off ??

Any chance at all that during assembly the bolt that holds the gear onto the cam didn't get torqued down or broke soon after the engine was started?

This really sucks!

ok for starters im sorry i said to not tell me the valves aint bent. i was told they are noninterfernce heads and obviously not. yes all the intake valves are hitting the head and every piston has a nic in them. yes i did get the bolts on the cam torqued down. even when i took the bolt out of the cam it was still tight. im still confused on what happened? i mean ya im only 19 and mistakes happen but i live on a farm and have been playin with motors pretty much my whole life plus i work at john deere as a mechanic and im in john deere school right now so im not just a random kid throwin parts together and sh!t flys apart. i know what im doin when it comes to stuff like this it just confuses me why this happened and how it did it. i mean i started the truck it ran just fine while it was sittin in the shed. it ran for about an hour and it would go through out the rpm range after it ran for that hour. it was still in time. ya i know that the cam nub was stripped so it didnt matter but timeing wasnt the issue or the timeing marks would be off. so if anyone has any thoughts to how or why this happened let me know. think out loud, say some stupid stuff do what ever ha cuz anything is possible.

I don't know man I'm pretty baffled. Definitely has to be timing off though, with the valves hitting the pistons, and the nub sheared off the cam gear. Maybe it's possible the gear rotated (or was somehow installed) 180 degrees out of time?

You really have to get past all the worry about looking foolish or making mistakes. Good decisions come from experience and experience comes from bad decisions. If you're not making mistakes, you're not learning anything either. There is no judgement here, just trying to get to the bottom of what happened. Feel free to beat yourself up though, we all do it, just saying, that's not what we are going for here.

Now, back to the facts...

The timing would have to be way off for that to happen and if that was the case, it probably wouldn't have run in the first place. it's more likely that a rocker arm popped off and get jammed under the cam, shearing the nub. The chain and sprocket would remain in time but the cam would have been shifted in relation to the sprocket and it's all downhill from there in a matter of seconds.
