Default Quick question regarding '11 1500 4.7l steering fluid

Hey all - I just purchased the truck in my profile and have only put about 500 miles on it in the last week. One thing I noticed is that the power steering fluid level is at "Min" level when cold and if I start the truck and allow a 2 minute warm up and immediately need to turn the wheel sort of fast to near full lock I get a bumping as if the pump is running dry. I guess it needs fluid despite not finding a single drop leaked in the steering system. My question is, what is everyone using for fluid and am I experiencing something normal? Tires, wear, alignment all seem perfect. No weird issues when driving after it's warmed up either. Is the smooth/bump/smooth (pulsing) feeling in the rotation of the wheel normal when cold or is it simply being at the min level the issue? I'll fill it regardless, just curious. Thanks in advance.
