I have slight feathering. Rotate tires about every 6k. Just rotated tires today, found left TRE worn. 22.5k miles. Need to call the dealer.

when my badyears started to cup and vibrate it happened really quick. like within 2-3k km's. dealer was absolutely no help. discount tire did a check when I had the nitto's put on and said the front end was fine. just another case of tires designed by accountants.

If you have the good for one year tires that is the problem, junked mine at 2000, already a bumpy ride and cupped tires, Bridgestones no more problems, had to do the same thing on my 300 SRT.

I would dump mine but I shutter at the thought of buying new 20's without getting milage out of the ones that are on the truck. I was on the fence about getting that particular truck because of the replacement cost of 20" tires. But being the savvy financial analyst that I am...I did it anyway.

20s have become the standard in SUVs and LTs and are insignificantly more expensive than a 17, frankly. There are plenty of reasonable options in a P-metric that are perfect for our trucks.

Thanks for this thread! I wasn't sure what the heck was going on with my truck. Seems ever since I had that tie rod recall done and tires rotated during same visit my truck hasn't driven straight since. Had to PAY for a full alignment, tire balance, and tires rotated back to where they were at a local tire place because I wasn't sure what the heck was going on. Seems to be driving a little straighter since I've had the tires rotated back. All this aggravation because Dodge can't put decent sneakers on a 40k dollar truck??? Give me friggin' break!

I think anyone who had these tires should be compensated.

I had the very same issues with my goodyears - feathering on the outside edges - very bad. I had multiple alignments done, rotated them religiously, etc, and to no avail.

I ended up swapping out the stock goodyears at 36k miles for a set of cooper zeons and haven't had a single issue since.

I really do attribute it to the poor quality of the tires.

I am of the belief that the truck has insufficient damping. I'm going to try a set of the bilstein 4100s and prove the theory out. I noticed the damping issue after changing from the lighter 17s to 20s.
