Default interior LED load resistor?

Hi guys- I just installed some of the interior led lights from Superbright leds and i am getting the blinking problem when the truck is off and the light is overidden on locally. (They work great when the truck is running). I know some of you have been installing resistors to correct this. What size resistors do i need, I have seen posts with people using 100 ohm 1 watt or 120 ohm 1/2 watt. The original bulbs are only about 6-8 ohms. can a lower ohm 1 or 1/2 watt resistor work? Are they being installed across the bulb terminals (parallel) or in series with led? Your advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I would have to look at mine to know for sure, but i believe it was 1/2 watt 150 ohm. Not 100% on that. If you look at the picture i posted in the thread i started on this, and you can read resistor colors....you will know.

Mine are wired in parallel. Not sure how i'm going to go about that though on the map lights with a bulb that plugs straight in. If you have any ideas on that, i'd love to hear them.

Also, i really still don't fully understand if this is the correct way to go, and what the issue is in the first place, so if you know anything about electronics and want to share that......that would be fantastic....
