Default Difference in filters?

I recently purchased a cheap cai off of eBay expecting to Chang the filter to a k and n but after inspecting the filter it came with I can't tell much of a difference could anyone elaborate what the differences are they look identical on the outside

make sure you dont get a filter with a paper insert. you want the fiber filter, almost like if its a cross between plastic and cloth. cant go wrong with authentic K&N. make sure your filter elements fibers are not too far spread apart, you want a tight grain to catch more dirt. good luck
