Default Changing spark plugs on 2008 Dodge Ram 4.7L

I changed the plugs about 36000 miles without any trouble and now need to change them again at 77000 miles but the 5/8" socket won't fit all the way into the spark plug hole now. Has anyone else experienced this problem and what did you do to fix it?

Maybe you used a thin-walled socket the last time?

Definitely has to be a thin wall socket. Using the ribber insert helps to keep the plug in socket for retrieval and install.

Had the same problem. Couldnt get a thinwall socket to work either. Had to take socket and grind the od with a Drimmel tool. Worked great after that.
