Unfortunately no. The last time I worked on this was a couple years ago. Since then the family and I moved into another house, and I've been working two jobs. But, it is funny that you bring this up, because I have recently unburied everything I need to continue this project, and have been seriously thinking about wrapping it up sometime soon.

All I've really got left to do is grind down the face of the plate, sand it down, and then polish it. Lately, I've been seriously considering rounding the edges from the top plate into the holes with the butterflies inside. Give the air just a little bit more of a smoother ride into the engine. After that, time to install. I recently put on a cold air intake system, so the modified throttle body, with the CAI and the exhaust should help me see some more power and MPG's too.

Thanks,
Josh

ok thanks man. do you remember how much time it took you to do all that? i have a dremel but would prolly have to get the right bits for it so just tryin to decide if its worth the time to do it myself or just buy one? there is a guy on ebay that is sellin a 50mm one for 99 and a 52mm for 149 which beats payin 300 or so somewhere else. any thoughts on this?

Man, those are some awesome prices for TB's that are already modded. I remember when I was looking online for pre-modded TB's, they were in the area of $330-$400. I got the TB I'm working on from EBay for about $40, and I've spent probably about 5 hours on it so far. but, I've never done anything like this before, so maybe I'm taking longer than the more experience folk's. But, if you can pick up a pre-modded TB for $99, I would definitely say it is more cost effective to go that route than to mod one yourself. Unless you want the gratitude of knowing that you did the mod yourself. I guess that decision would be up to you.

Excellent. Sound good man. Please, let me know how it turns out. If possible, I would definitely like to see some pictures of the install, and definitely a report of the outcome. Extra power, MPG savings, etc...

Now you got me really wanting to wrap up my project and get the sucker installed.
