Default Master Weight List

Please forgive me I'm a newb, but I have a suggestion. Hopefully it has not been posted before. I recommend we start a Master Weight List thread. On this list we can record the weight of parts that are removeable. This is especially helpful to guys that race. For example, we could record the weight of the center console or passenger seat or rims and tires, tailgate, tonneau cover etc.

The Dakota guys on another board I frequent created a list and I found it very helpful. You'd be surprised how in depth some went....I'm talking fan shroud, shocks, aftermarket rims, leaf springs, etc.

Unfortunately,I haven't removed anything yet to begin the thread, but I will soon. Thoughts?

Although I don't race my Ram I say "Go for it"!
It certainly can't hurt anything. Who knows how it might help in the future.

Now that I think about it...I think I posted this in the wrong area.

This was not meant to be just me contributing weights. The one on the Dakota site has almost everyone contributing or have contributed at some point. Maybe one of the Mods will see this and move it to the appropriate area.

I think it's a fine idea but probably mostly to guys who race. Honestly, if I cared about getting rid of 30 lbs in my truck I could go on a diet.

This is a good idea for drag racers. It should be in the drag racing section though.

IT has been listed before but not with aftermarket parts, so there is room for it to be improved upon!
