I wanted to take the time to thank everyone for their inputs. My intake showed up on the door step the other day. I have since started the painting process. as soon as it is all complete and on the truck i will posts pics.

It actually has 6 light coats of clear but I think that I will redo the clear because it is not very shinny.

sometimes light coats arent the way to go on clearcoat, basecoat shouldnt be laid on wet, clearcoat is better off laid on thick and kept wet for a shinier smoother finish

oh and make sure you scuff the clearcoat with a scotch brite before you recoat it

id reccomend to remember to use alchy rub after the sanding, i didnt do it on my interior and it didnt turn out so well, but hey you can always sand it and start over
