Silver,
What do yo mean there isn't any gears? Are the 2011 rear axles diff than the 2010. I ordered Motive gears for my truck few weeks back(front and rear). I have the 2010 ST with 9.25 and 3.55 gears. I hope the 4.10's that I got will work, never heard of there needing to be something modified. I have a notched pin that I ordered. That was only thing I read that may need to be modified.

the carrier is different in the 2011. It will need to be modified to fit gears for the 2010

@ Stoney

The 2011 rearend is completely different..carrier, axle lengths, abs rings etc...

Your 2010 doesnt need any mods, its a standard Chrysler 9.25. Why 4.10s and not 4.56? I see your in Newport News, who you going to have do your install? I'm in Chesapeake btw...

yeah, like when you set the bilsteins to rase the front, did you have any issues with the front driveshaft binding. I want to bring my front end up a little more, but the shop that did the lift was concerned with the driveshaft

I sure haven't man. I just went outside and looked and I really dont see how it would bind. Yours is dropped 1.5" more than mine, but I dont see it being a problem. There are several Pro Comp guys with maxed bilstiens without issues. There's is even lifted .3" higher than your coilovers maxed so I don't see it being an issue bud.

Hey Candy, I was really on the fence with this. Decided since I have about 10k miles to go on my tires and already purchased a set of 33inch BFG T/A's off of my buddy's Power Wagon with 5k miles on them that I should probably go little conservative. I think the 4.56 with 33 would be turning about 250rpm too much for my two hours a day of commuting. I'm sure I will probably regret it laterLOL

Was going to have Production Off Road install for me, but I"m on the fence. I have a buddy that has done about 10 sets of gears and has all the equipment. I think I trust him more since I will be there during the install. Production said $660 for the change which is a very good deal, but I dont know anyone who has experience with them. I ordered all the parts already from a guy on ebay whom has really good deals on the Motive Gears. Busy working on fixing these darn HID Projectors right nowLOL

OKay jsut to put back in. Does the front require any modifications when doing swaps on the 2011s or is it just the rears??

Question

My 35s aren't the full 12.5" wide so I don't bog down as much, but the lighter truck paired with the CAI and exhaust definitely helps me out. So overall the 3.92s aren't bad....that said I'm really jonesing for some 4.56s. My truck is already a beast in the mud, but with lower gears I'm thinking it would be killer.

That said...if I stick with the tire size I have now (295/65/20) and go to 4.56s, would my truck feel the same way it did with my mods at factory tire size (275/60/20) and get the old mileage?

Luke

The 4.56's will give you much better power. With 35" tires, they make it drive effortlessly. Gas mileage will probably be about the same if not slightly better becasue you can be lighter on the gas pedal.
