I have had my F1 for about a year now, no regrets. With regards to installation, the drain tubes were probably the most hassle involved. Since I have a sprayed in bedliner, I had to cut off the lining before punching the knockouts out. Pretty simple, really. My hoses were more than long enough, so maybe the kits have improved somewhat.

I posted earlier on this thread about the locking mechanism. What I did (that took the most time) is after the install and the cover was lined up fine, I crawled under the cover and saw how the latches barely caught underneath the F1 rails. I removed the screws and slid the latches to the outside, maybe 1/4", so the latches actually caught better. On a couple of them, I drilled a couple of new holes for the latch screws. (The drilled holes are underneath, not through the cover).

Probably not necessary, but it did make it latch a little tighter.

Default F1

I have had my F1 for about a month and I am very happy with it. I traded a Chevy Avalanche for my 2012 Ram. I did like how the cover worked on Avalanche except that with the high sides you had to climb into the bed to get the last partition out. You also had to store them somewhere if you were hauling something.

The F1 has been bone dry and it has been through the car wash several times! The Avalanche always had a little moisture get in but not bad. This cover is very light compared to the Avalanche cover and retracts in a minute. I purchased mine on the internet for $784.00 & free shipping...!

I am in the market for an F1 as well and looking for a price like Triton189 got. I too just traded a 2005 Avalanche in for my 2012 Laramie.

Same reasons I chose the G2. Any Bakflip model will do the trick, it just depends how much weight you plan on putting on top of it. It probably is safe to assume that the models that hold more weight are probably a little more durable. They just weren't worth the extra $$$ to me as I read plenty of good reviews on the G2.

I have the Roll-N-Lock. I really like the versatility. I beleive they make one for trucks with the Rambox.
