Default Need some help yet again

Okay well a few of you might remember my previous post, I kept getting misfire codes after replacing the plenum...........Well i now have changed everything possible, put new plugs and wires and all that, seafoamed it, new injectors, new cat etc....

Well yesterday I was drivng and the CEL came on yet again cant remember the code but it was for a fuel pump relay......i bought a new one and replaced it.....now today im getting code P1282 which is for Fuel air metering?? and now 8 misfire and 6 misfire......

I just bought this truck and once i think all codes are gone i get a new one mixed with an old one then it runs good for 2 days then another new code mixed with the same codes i have been getting which are the misfires....at a loss of what to do with this damn thing.

Thinking out loud......

This could well be a wiring connection or ground problem. Most likely culprit that affects all of these items is the PCM. Have removed the PCM connectors and checked for corrosion. Sometimes the physical act of removing and re-installing the connectors (which cycles the contacts) can reduce/eliminate these issues. Make sure the battery is disconnected before puling off the PCM connectors.

I dread the #8 misfire code. On my wheels, it has ALWAYS indicated a vacuum leak, is it possible that theres a hose off? Seeing as how you've done the plenum thing...

yeah, i'd say to climb back under the hood. make sure everything is hooked back up. check to see if your vacuum lines are cracked towards the ends. all grounds are connected. check for any pinched wires.

i can't imagine that a plenum fix would cause you to replace some of these parts that you are replacing.
