Default Is there a pro-rated refund available on Max Care?

For those of you that purchased the Chrysler Maximum Care plan....

If I trade my 2010 Ram at some point, am I entitled to any sort of pro-rated refund on the Max Care warranty? I've read a few things on the web about it here and there but nothing definitive.

Thanks in advance -

When I looked into trading my truck in (I didn't do it) they only wanted to give me a couple hundred for it. It's not worth it.

You'd have to read the paperwork and the fine print. It is "cancelable" but what that means has to be defined in the contract.

I had an extended warranty on an 06 Tacoma. I traded the truck and received a check for the pro-rated amount on that warranty.

The Maxi-Care are definitely refundable. It says this in the contract itself. There are just a couple of exclusions. If you have used the maxicare plan, it deducts by how much you've used the plan. If you haven't used any of the benefits then its simply pro-rated by car mileage up to a certain point...I think it was 100k miles or something. I paid $2850 3 years ago when I had my Charger, and that was for the full Maxicare plan with -0- deductible.

when I got in an accident with my Charger and it was totalled I obviously cashed out the maxicare plan and got something like 2k back. It worked out for me b/c I did use the maxicare plan once for a rental when my car was in the shop for the infamous "parking brake stuck" pinky thingy that you can read about for lx vehicles from 2005-2007. Anyway, I was happy with what I got back. The plan itself is the best plan on the market..at least in this country.

I've since purchased a maxi-care wrap for my Ram R/T and didn't think twice about it being how great the plan itself is and how quickly DCX processed my refund check for the original maxicare plan I had on the Charger.

Excellent info - thanks all. Hadn't sifted through all the fine print yet.

Where can I get all the 'fine print'? I bought the Max. care for $1900 with $100 deductible and all I have is the brochure from the dealership. I would like to read the contract in its tiny print Entirity

I finally got all the documentation for the warranty and it all seems to be what they said it was. I like how they generalize things like: "Engine block and all internal parts" or "transmission case and all internal parts" ~ That covers it!

The beauty of it is , it also covers seals and gaskets "for covered parts " So as your valve covers , oil pan ,tranny pan ect, start to leak , as they WILL If you keep the truck . You can have them replaced so tht your engine ad underside don't have oil and fluids all over the place .
When I got my Ram 2 months ago the max care warranty was the deal clencher . I had had spent hours online reading about them and talking to the Ram Care team and the Chrysler warranty people , and decided that for the price of the warranty and the fact thatI was planning on keeping the truck a long time ,I could not go wrong .
