My screen name is likely among the oldest of any. When I was 6 or 7, back in the mid/late 80's, I came up with the screen name for online gaming.

It wasn't really ONLINE gaming, in the sense of the term as it's used now - but back then it was the latest technology. My Dad was a computer engineer and my Uncle was just a dedicated geek. They setup ways for us to play games between computers (via phone) -- and Gommer was the screen name I picked back then -- thinking it was the right way to spell Gomer. Woops.

So it's my nearly 30 year old typo, basically.

Still remember when my Dad was telling me about how the company he worked for had gotten ONE MEGABYTE of memory in their mainframe. It was such a big deal it was on the news. Now some machines/clusters/mainframes have gone so far as to have petabytes of memory.

Makes me wonder just what obsurd changes there will be in technology when I'm an old(er?) fart - looking back at how things once were.

(Rotary phones anyone? Ha, I was a teenager before the rotary phone was gone from our house. We still had the phone issued to new customers from Southwestern Bell)

An SXIPro is a stand up jet ski manufactured by Kawasaki. It was my first standup and was a model year 1998. I have since sold it and moved on to a Yamaha SuperJet that has far more mods and far more $$ invested in it than my Ram 1500. But, I hung onto the SXIPro username anyhow, since it is the beast that got me hooked on my favorite hobby/recreation.

I used to work at the Harris Teeter Deli, and every time one of my co-workers was being harassed by an annoying or unruly customer I would stick up for my co-worker.
This of course pissed the customer off, and they would ask to meet my manager.
My reply to this would be: "Sure, I can do that. I have someone else in mind for you to meet too."
When they asked who, I would reply my bumper.
Naturally I didn't last very long at that job... customer service isn't really my forte

Chrysigon de la Cru was an 11th century knight as portrayed by Charlton Heston in The War Lord.

I have a Hemi and rhoids.

I was scrolling thru this thread the other day and when I read HemiRhoid I fell off my seat. When I was a Processing Supv. back in the mid to late 80's in a large Packing House we had another Supv. who's first name was Lloyd. Back then we had a large influx of Asian workers especially on the second shift and if you were to talk to the Asian people that worked for him and if you would ask them "who is your supervisor" they could not say "his name is Lloyd", they could only muster out "Him Roid". That stuck with him until he left the company.
Thanks for the laughs and trip down memory lane.

When I purchased my white truck the first thing that popped into my head was "Casper the Ghost" cartoons on Saturday mornings and also the year of my truck. Casper13.
