Hello all, I originally posted this on the audio/video MOD section but think it is more fitted here.
I have successfully installed my linear actuators on my tonneau cover. I used two 8" linear actuators, a REC-43T auxiliary Receiver, an Omega wireless transmitter.
I took the gas shocks off the tonneau cover and replaced them with the actuators. It was almost a direct bolt on. I had to drill a couple mounting holes and used some grade 8 bolts, washers and lock nuts to secure it down.
I programmed the transmitter to the two extra garage door opener buttons (one for up and one for down).
The thing works like a champ and is really awesome.

some pictures of the build.
There is a way I can hook up a another control box to the unit to where I can press 3 times with the factory FOB remote and the cover will raise and lower. But I need to tweak the current installation a bit before moving on. For now I will keep the extra remote on my key chain.
