Default Was the exhaust manifold issue limited to the 2009's?

Hi folks -

I'm suspicious that I might have an exhaust leak (driver's side exhaust manifold) but can't be sure. I'm planning on having it checked next time I bring it in, which is a rare occurrence.

What's leading me to believe I might have a small leak is that, some time ago, my mpg's went off a cliff. While it's right around the time I switched to cooper zeon's, I can't really attribute the drop in mpg to just the tires and my heavy foot. Seems like I lost 2mpg instantly, and nothing with the truck changed (and this is before winterized gas). So, I thought it might be running a little fat given the exhaust leak, etc.

Was the problem of manifold bolts breaking limited to the 2009's?

I don't see any broken bolts, but I know that sometimes these leaks are hard to detect. I don't see any visual clues either - just hearing it on cold startup....
Thanks in advance -

If it's an exhaust leak then it would be audible after the truck is warmed up, you say you only hear it when started cold, so that's likely the lifters tapping.

I lost ~1mpg when I went to cooper zeons.

I don't really have an answer for the question you asked, sorry.

Thanks - yeah, it doesn't sound like lifter noise to me, but then again, I can't be sure. I think I'm overthinking this one.

Yeah, lost a little mpg with the zeons, but they're a great tire so far otherwise.

I'll check it again today because I am getting a slight ticking when warm as well - I attributed it to the general noise of the engine running. Sounds more like an exhaust leak when cold and then it calms down, but the tick is still there. I'll probably end up having it checked anyway next time it was in. I don't have any outstanding recalls for my 2010, and I believe that the manifold bolts were a recall on the 09's (not sure if they were just an rrt or not)....

I took my 2010 Ram 1500 Big Horn in with a tick at 41000 today and it was broken manifold bolts which they fixed under warranty.
