Thumbs down Don't order Tonneau Covers from Autoanything

I ordered a tonneau cover on 14 April, told it would ship out, got a revised shipping date by mail of the 24th, with arrival in 2-5 business days so it should have been here yesterday. Called autoanything, they checked with the shipper not sure if it was online or talked to someone - (Meyer Logistics), they said it was delivered. I said I do not have it Autoanything has been trying to call the shipper and they do not answer the phone. So they are telling me I have to wait another 24 to 48 hours for an answer, that is totally unacceptable. They selected a crap shipping company and now I have to wait. This is unacceptable.

So don't order anything that can't be shipped by Fedex or UPS. It will be a while before you get it or you may not get it. Not sure where I am right now, but about to call my credit card company.

Usually I like Autoanything, have ordered lots of stuff, but that was small stuff, I have learned my lesson.

I'm confused. You bought something from Auto Anything, then you didn't get it and they called the shipper FOR YOU (who again...is the SHIPPER....not the company you bought from). They told you the info....you told them what the current situation is.....then they call the shipper FOR YOU again and AA once again REPORTS BACK TO YOU..... that is a bad thing?? So you're downing their company on a public forum because the shipper they chose (but isn't affiliated with AA) is not holding up THEIR END of the bargain??

I just dropped $35,000 on a truck a month ago. I probably won't get it for at least another month due to the weather and the rail service that Chrysler Corp has chosen. I guess that means that Ram/Chrysler is stupid, sucks and I should tell everybody out in Cyber Space not to buy a Ram truck because the rail service is horrendous......right??

The problem isn't AA... It's the shipper. I would say that they're doing anything (snicker) they can do for you!

Default Actually, it is Auto anythings problem

That THEY chose a shipper that isn't available to provide status on a shipment. Maybe THEY should not be using a shipper that doesn't return phone calls. Maybe THEY are responsible for not being able to get a good status to me, if they used a reliable shipper, maybe THEY would be able to provide more information right now. Ultimately it is AUTO ANYNTHING's problem.

I bet Ram could provide you a status for you truck, so you know WHERE it is, and possibly WHEN it could be shipped (I was able to get that information). Would be different for you if RAM told you your truck was lost, the shipper said the dealer had it, and RAM could not get a hold of the shipper to ask where it is. I guess you would be really happy with RAM if that were to happen and you would only get pissed off at the rail company right? YEAH RIGHT, YOU WOULD BE ALL OVER RAM.

Kind of sounds like to me they are doing everything in their power to make the situation right. Sure the shipping company they went with messed it up....but they can't control everything. Problems happen....it's life. To blame a company on an open forum for not doing ANYTHING WRONG AT ALL seems a bit silly and immature.

Was your goal to persuade people not to buy from them? If anything I think your post will do the opposite as it sounds like they are handling the situation great and now we all know that they will back up the buyer as much as they possibly can.

Kudos to AutoAnything!! Keep up the great work guys!

I ordered my tonneau cover from Autoanything and it was on my doorstep in 2 days. I believe that Autoanything is a very reliable and reputable company. Have some patience and give them a chance to make it right before you go online and start bashing them. You said yourself that you have ordered from them before with no issues.

Excellent! Which tonneau did you opt with? Once I get finally get my truck I'm debating on which one. I think I'm going with a soft rollup one because of it's ease of use, price and I can use the full bed whenever I want. Just not sure which one to go with.
