MERCY! You got #$%#$%# ripped off!
I could of rebuilt your transmission for around 1000 dollars and that would even include some hard part replacement also. I would even have alto reds and kolenes, clevite bushings, transtec overhaul kit, raybestos rear band and borg warner front band, I spent 800 in parts to rebuild mine and I used highest quality parts, same thing I just described actually any my 800 includes a new bell housing (mine cracked).

1261 in labor??? what did they do heart surgery?

Stay away from those people who rebuilt it! Don't even drive by the place, the truck might start to shudder!

I'm surprised they didn't replace any hard parts, planetaries mainly! In these transmissions their is generally more ware to the planets then to the clutch packs. ALOT MORE.

Going back to that list they didn't replace the solenoid it seems! Another thing that's an issue is with valve body rebuilds most of the time you would replace the valve body seperator plate generally with one from transgo, the problem is that the boost valve exhaust slot is generally larger then the one that is cutout on the transgo, not always but usually. With a smaller exhaust port their is typically more shudder and it takes longer for the fluid to exhuast.

I really don't know what else to say other than you getting ripped off, but for the amount of money you spent, that things better last 500,000 miles lol

Oh and they replaced the front drum assembly and rear drum and support. Luckily it was under warranty, so I only had to fork out $500, but still this makes me sick!!!!!!!

So how many times did they rebuild it? And how much did it cost you in total everything? A good rebuilder should get it right the first time.

Well they atleast replaced some hardparts but those drums probably didn't need to be replaced, I can't stress it enough it's usually and almost always the planets that need replacing. If they charged you 500 for those 3 parts you still got ripped off.

so far Ive had it in twice since the initial. The second time they didnt provide me with a parts breakdown, just a general "transmission repair under warranty" I am goin after that parts/labor breakdown tomorrow

I see that clearly now. I hate that I dont know hardly anything about transmissions, I am a motor guy. Atleast when the motor goes I will be rebuilding that myself

Next time you need a rebuild just fedex it to me! Problem solved! Staples that was easy!

Like I said before their should never be a reason to have to bring a rebuilt transmission back, if it didn't work the first time someone needs to be fired!

Teach yourself, thats what I did. I rebuild motors, rear ends, the whole inchlada! But I specialize in the transmission because it's easy and fun. Rear ends I'm not great with, everything in a rear end has to be perfect. With a transmission the adjustments are very simple a caveman can do it. Which reminds me I'm surprised that the shop you took it to didn't replace any washers or spacers.... Hmmm
