Default Towing / Fuel Eco / ETC..

Hello Everyone,
I am new here. I have many questions, like to see what kind of replies I can get to help with concerns I have.

We will be purchasing a new fifth wheel(Montana 3750FL 16,000#) in the near future and travaling.
I realize the truck has plenty of horsepower to pull the unit, I am not after tire smoking power just a little help with the fuel.
Is there anything out there that can help with fuel economy that would not have me replacing intake manifold, fuel pumps, exhust system, etc...?

Thanks in advance.

A Cummins I see... There are some good Cummins resources out there.

And that seems like an awfully heavy RV for a 2500 truck...

Unless you want to tune and delete the truck there isn't really anything you can do for better fuel economy. But it sounds like you don't want to go that route.

It's not that I don't want to make changes, it's major changes like installing new exhuast system or engine parts. If there is a tuning device that would work I am open to that.
I just know most truck owners look for the "1000 HP" tune ups and so on. This that I would like to do small if possible.

To make it worth your while you need to tune it and then replace the exhaust to get rid of the DPF filter. That's what's killing your mileage the most right now. The tuner would then disable the EGR valve too but you're better off taking that off altogether as well.

Here's my thread on deleting my 2012 6.7. Read through that if you want some information on what is all involved. - http://www.ramforumz.com/showthread.php?t=159892
