IMO straight through mufflers like magnaflows are fairly tame at idle/cruising rpm's, it's when you get into the throttle that they get loud.

Magnaflow!

I've always leaned towards the more throaty growl sound. Some Flowmaster exhausts keep reminding me how...raspy they get at WOT.

Magnaflow for me too, that's what's on my Jeep and Magnaflow will eventually end up on my truck.

Default Magnaflow all the way

I had flowmaster on my 04 4.7 Ram. It sounded good, and i liked it, I had always been a flowmaster guy on other cars, and had a friend who drag raced in the street muffler class who swore by flowmasters.
I now have an 18" Magnaflow and Magnaflow Y-pipe on my '11 Hemi, and I really like it.(I did leave my factory resonators, but I put new tips to better fill the bumper cutouts.) It has a nice deep rumble at startup and normal driving, and then really comes to life when you go to WOT. I researched a lot of you-tube videos because I heard that their could be a drone with the EVIC mode on the Hemi's. So fara I have to cruise at 75 mph to work 20 miles each way 3 times a week, and their is no noticeable annoying drone.
My wife even commented on how she liked the sound when you get on it, but it was not annoying for normal driving.
My vote is Magnaflow. The you tube videsos I heard, the flowmasters sound to raspy and tinny.
Magnaflow nice rumble, until WOT and then it announces you have a Hemi.

Save your money remove the muffler put y-pipe sounds way better then any exhaust out there yes its little loud but your truck will stand out way more

Since I have done this every ram owner who sees me on the road keeps asking me what exhaust I'm running they don't believe me its stock lol

dynomax bullet! just got one to replace my muffler on my 04, left the resonator on after the axle and it sounds great when i get on it and you can just hear an exhaust tone when cruising with the windows up.

next up im gonna get it dumped right after the "muffler". and if thats still tolerable im gonna get another bullet and have them both dumped.

if you want tolerable, dump it after axle, big difference in incab noise between the 2...

I ran flows, again sounds good at idle and part throttle, but when you go wot, the sound just doesn't sound right...

magnaflows just sound muscular...

FLOWMASTER all the way on my vote. I have true dual flowmaster 50 series on my truck and I love the sound and performance from them. Ive had bad experiences in the past from Magnaflow and went to flowmaster and will never go back to Magnaflow. That's just my opinion though. The flowmasters r awsome sounding at an idle and very throaty at the pedal. Good luck on ur decision
