I had most of the 5.7 / 6.1 Car stuff. But I realized the amount of work required was excessive. The AC, Power-steering, Heater hoses, Radiator hoses and so on would need to be re done. Looks to me, that with the bracket you used, I can keep my current stuff at its current locations.

what modifications did you have to make to the timing cover? pictures?

When you order the timing cover and bracket from Inertia it comes machined to make the accessories for properly, the only problem is if you want to use the nitrous plate. You would need to grind down one of the mounting points on the timing cover, there is already a photo of it in the build pics, but I'm on my phone and can't copy and paste the link. I also had to notch the bracket to clear the throttle body, and I can take pics of that when I'm home.

Ok, here are some more photos of the mods required to make the throttle body and nitrous plate.

Here is the bracket notch

Here is the work required to the timing cover

Here are some pics of the fuel system. It's BT fuel rails with -8AN fittings, you can see the fuel pressure sensor, rear crossover and the passenger-side tapped for the 1/8" NPT fuel line for the ZEX nitrous management unit.

Here are some detail shots of the new engine bay. The NMU is just sitting there, but it will be secured properly. I also have some nice BT goodies installed now and am just waiting to get my 3G half-covers back from my airbrush guy. I got some good video of the truck today, my camera wasn't so bad after all, it's taking forever to upload though, so be patient.

The big bully catch can has been powder coated to match the reservoirs and the intake manifold.

great pictures man. Looks kinda thin near the TB, is it still strong enough?

where did you get the fuel adapter?
where did you get the oil cap?
did you have to change the Throttle Body, or wore you able to keep the truck TB?
What about the EGR? ( I have 03 heads, & no EGR, I have block plate on my truck intake, will I have to block the 6.1 intake?)

Thanks

That looks amazing man. I seriously want to do this to my truck now. Not sure though how long it would take for me to get that much saved up to do it. Probably a year or two lol. Good to have goals though right?

Since you are being bombarded with questions, I'll through mine in as well. LOL

How do you like the results so far? Is it a pleasure to drive? Is the butt dyno registering notable real world results?

The fuel system is built the way it is because I used the BT fuel rails and they come with -8AN fittings. If you use the 6.1L rails then you don't need to go this route.

The oil cap is the BT cover for the 6.1L and I just had them do a custom engrave on it because I didn't want their stock cap that says '0W-40 recommended'

You can use the stock throttle body, I just have a ported manifold so I went with the larger TB to match. If you get a stock manifold then the OEM TB is more than sufficient.

I'm pretty good most of the year, but I need it for when I have the fiancee in the vehicle. I've done without A/C on past vehicle but she insists that the truck has A/C for our drives since she seems unable to control her body temperature, but that's most women that I know. IF it were up to me I'd delete the A/C compressor altogether and run a shorter belt, but it's just not in the cards.

There is a noticable gain in the low-end torque and the top-end power, over 4000rpm it really begins to pull away where it used to start bogging down. I have found a 'soft spot' between 2800rpm and 3800rpm, but that's just running the start-up tune from Johan. Once I get back on my next days off I will have the torque converter installed and then I'll start data logging and solidifying the tune.

And yes, the butt dyno is very pleased.
