Default Well, now --

the question now is, do the cheap (69-89 dollar) "tuners" or chips do anything to help towing or MPG? Really.
Do the high dollar set ups that you can program help with towing or MPG?
What can a fellow do to help with towing?

This may be the wrong place to put this but the guys that have responded to my other posts have been spot on with the advice and help so I feel pretty good asking the questions here.

I have never heard anything good about chips. You will probably get some torque out of a tuner. What are you towing? As long as you stay within your limits the 5.7 has all the power you need.

I am about to believe that myself. I can hardly believe that Dodge would not design the truck ,engine and running gear so that it would not perform quite well at its specs. I pull a travel trailer at about 6100 lbs and so far the truck has done real well.
Thanks for the input.

You're welcome. My trailer is about the same size as yours. Here are my towing reviews.

Your truck, if properly equipped, can handle a 6100lb TT with no problem. I tow a 7500 TT with my truck no problem. IMO this 5.7 does not need a chip or tuner.
