It has been shown that the mirrors do fit the 1500s im pretty sure. I know there are guys that have done the swap with HD mirros. Just not many

Default i hope so...

...im pretty sure they'll fit, its more the wiring i'm concerned about. The guy who sold me the HD tow mirrors is a forum member on here and he has confirmed that they fit plug n play no probs. Still waiting on there arrival. Are you still interested in my white sport mirrors SS4Luck?

Yesssir I am. Shoot me an email SS4Luck@gmail.com or PM about them once you got the tow mirrors on so we can work something out

So far the general concencus on the mirrors is if your truck came with the heated/lighted mirrors, any other heated/lighted mirro will work. If you didnt have the muddle lights etc then you cant add them down the road.

Default drum roll please lol....

....well my 2011 Ram 2500HD tow mirrors turned up and guess what...
.
.
.
...they only work perfectly , mounting is exactly the same, wiring is exactly the same and all the features power/heat/turn signals/puddle lamps work exactly as they should. 20 minute job to swap em out... well chuffed!!!

Sorry snowrv didnt read your post until now, i'll whip em off again when i get a minute and note the part numbers for you as well.

I've even done a little "how to" here: http://www.ramforumz.com/showthread.php?t=107523

Thanks for everyones input!
Kris

congrats, and that was a very well writen write up btw. To get the pics to go below each step you would have to use like a photobucket style website and post the link with the IMG tag.

A few questions please -

1-Do you happen to have part numbers for the mirrors you got??

2-And do they have the puddle lights, blinkers, power, heated?

3- Are they all black

4- Picture by chance please of them on truck

Sorry for all the questions just I have seen them on trucks on the road yet every dealer says they dont have them

PLEASE HELP!! email me at risllc@hotmail.com would be GREAT

kristopgun:

I swapped my sport mirrors out for tow mirrors on my 2010 last summer. I put the sport mirrors on ebay and sold them for around $300 real quick, so it definitely helped with the cost. I found the same thing with the dealer as you did... For some reason the parts guys know nothing about if/how these can mount up. But they do and look/work perfect! It made towing my tt so much better!

The ones I think people want are the Heated, power, signal & puddle light. Part No 55372070-AH
55372071-AG
They are the ones with a 3rd of the mirror as the Spotter. $599 EACH CNDN.

I'm looking at doing this - so happy to hear we have a tow mirror option now!

Did you have puddle/signal lights on your factory mirrors? I have power/heated factory mirrors on my 1500; wondering if i get the HD mirrors with puddle/signal/power/heated if all functions will work or if my truck would be missing a controller somewhere for the extra lights.

Thanks!
