I have purchased an EGR valve, but have yet to put it on. It's going to be a PITA. So, I'm waiting until a day that I don't need the truck. I was starting to suspect a vacuum leak but I can't hear one anywhere. I can't find a PCV valve for my truck either, I would like to change that too. Apparently, most of the PCV valves are on the oil filler tube. Mine is not, it is on the drivers side valve cover on the rear of the engine and I can't find a part store that can even order one.
I'm at a loss, I'll let you know if EGR valve fixes it.
Well hope it works out for you changing the EGR. My Truck don't have an EGR since it's a 2002. What year exactly is yours I'm guessing 2004-2006 right? Let me know Ill let you know where's your EGR from my Alldata system
I know righ twhere it is and I'm procrastinating the job cuz its going to be suck a pain. Yes it is an '06. I have been using 87 octane and put in two bottles (treated 15 gal each) of octane booster in and it feels like it might have smoothed out some, but it could be my imagination. Still have the EGR so wth? might as well change it.
