I just called my dealer after reading this thread last night. I figured this would have to be an emissions related fix. I found out no, it is power train so it is not covered. I will be taking this to my private shop guy and having him do the work. I just bought this 3 months ago, I love the truck ride great has good power. It has been ticking on cold start since I purchased it, maybe I can get the dealer I bought it form to fix it. Other wise I'll be paying to have the bad designed bolts removed and replaced.

i just got mine back from the shop on friday afternoon.
im not happy with the fact that this is such a common problem and Dodge wont cover it under a recall.
not the best time to be sending $560 to fix the truck just before Christmas

Was that all the bolts?

If not how many and what was done?

im sure they would have covered it if i was still under the original warranty but my truck has 123,500KM on it and my extended warranty wont cover it because the extended warranty wont cover a none lubricated bolt.

trust me i call everything i could think of trying to figure out why this wasnt covered since it was such a common problem and there is a RRT (Rapid Response Transmittal) out for this problem.

all i was told was, under my VIN number, there are no recalls or RRT and that i was SOL.

I guess that i will have to dig up the RRT, TSB, CSN, or whatever it was on those bolts

i am sure that i posted it somewhere in this post, if it was not a SAFETY RELATED problem, you can't force them to fix it

By the way, in the HELP section, there is a STICKY with most every RRT
just click on the RAMS image at the top of every page, it takes you to the REST of this RamforumZ

That's easy; tell them you will pay to have it properly inspected, and it if they find a broken bolt or cracked header ( which it sounds like you have have) they are going to pay to fix it....and if it's under a warranty, you a will pay nothing. Mine sounds like a new truck after I had my manifold and broken bolts replaced. There is no tick anymore
