So far anyway.
I see people removing the fender liner to access the white retention clip for the back of the headlight housing. That is NOT necessary at all. Just open the "access port" in the fender line as seen in the photo.
#2 release the white retention clip Before you remove the two bolts in the front holding the headlight housing, that way you dont have to worry about the headlight popping out accidentally while your over by the tire.
#3 There is a 'ball plug' for lack of better description that also holds the headlight housing in place. You have to gently pry between the fender and the housing with something gently to 'pop' the housing out
the second pic is facing the headlight (which is already removed) showing the white clip and you can see where the ball plug thing goes and the inside of the access port.
#4 I do Not see how you can remove those two bolts holding the housing without removing the grill. But removing the grill was a quick and easy task so its no biggie to do.
The third picture is just the free headlight housing showing the little round port that needs to be drilled for the wiring grommet from the HID bulb
The instructions with my HID kit SUCK! I didnt finish the job yet
I'll add my experiences to this thread as I go
