Updated Pic from a local meet. Rain kind of pt a damper on the day but there were some great cars out there. Truck is a bit less shiny thanks to the cloud cover. You may see this pic in another section later this week

I don't know how but I missed this whole thread lol. Your truck is one of my favorites, very clean and sharp. Makes me reconsider color matching mine...

Good work

InDeepWaterBlue, Your truck is simply amazing!
Great thread and one that I will be following.

That traction control thing you did. What brand is it? Makes your RPM's jump like crazy.
Something I may considering doing also.
Will it work on a 2012?

Keep up the great work.
I havent decided if I want to raise or lower mine.

I have always lowered my cars. First time I have owned a truck so wanted to go up.
But your truck makes me want to lower mine

Thanks Fast!!
That magical device would be the Torque Converter with a 2800RPM Stall. I actually got it from another member on the Z but the brand is TCI and I'm very happy with it. Other members use Edge and Circle D which are very reliable as well and great products. It will work for a 12 as long as you have the 5-45RFE trans.

You can't go wrong with lifting or lowering, these trucks look great either way. I thought about lifting mine but I really don't go off-road all that often and have really come to like the street truck look.

now that you got those headlights in, you should probably go snag a few pics on the road where u took the one for your sig pic, cause that picture alone makes me want a street truck.

I heard this will affect your tow capabilities?

5-45RFE?
I have a 2012 Hemi with 3.55. Would I be able to run one?

the newer trucks (starting in either 2011 or 2012....I think 2012) have a "new" transmission called a 66rfe (or maybe it's 65rfe....don't remember). Anyway, it's actually the exact same transmission, they just renamed it and now call it a "six speed". I would assume that the torque converter would still work fine, but you may want to confirm with the manufacturer. Honestly, they likely won't know as of now because no one has probably tried it and they may not know there is a "new" transmission, but you know how that goes.

The info I posted is what I was told by member transengineer. IIRC he said the "new" transmission is identical to the older 545rfe (even the shift pattern).

Hope this can be confirmed for a 2012.
Something I'm very interested in

Oh ya I forgot the renamed the 2012 trans because of 2nd Prime thanks Snrusnak. I'm not sure how it would effect your towing, I'd assume it would as a TC really only makes a difference at WOT. But other than that you should be able to use a 545rfe from Edge, Circle D, and TCI on your trans like Snrusnak mentioned above.
