Default Nitto Terra Grappler vs Toyo Open Country ??

Which one lasts longer? Which one is quieter?

I do alot of highway driving so these elements are especially critical for me. I do not do much offroad except for oversand.

I got a quote from town fairtire:

Toyo 325/60/R20 - $340 /Tire uinstalled

Nitto 325/60/R20 - $390 / Tire Installed

What do you think?

Last Longer? Toyo M/t's
Quieter? Toyo M/t's

I think overrall the ride of the Toyo M/T's is better as well as they do perform better off-road. Just my 2 cents and I work at a tire and auto place so I have seen both of these tires over the last several years.

I have heard of people getting some very impressive #'s from the toyo M/T's, 1 guy had 33's on his half ton and said he got 100,000 kms out of them, which would be 60,000 miles, not sure how true that is but alot of people run them, so they must be damn good. Not sure how acurate the person I know is with his calculations on what he got out of his tires though but like I said I have heard great things for the longevity of those tires

The choice between those two particular tires is the same as the coke or pepsi choice. Everyone will have what they like plus 3 friends who will back them up. They are both terriffic tires with good durability and meet the all 'round requirements for most people, probably why they're the most commonly recommended of all the truck tires out there. I prefer the look of the Nitto, but honestly, if it's a difference of $30 per tire then I'd be inclined to go the Toyo route. That's $120, enough for another mod

Are you comparing the nitto terra to the toyo m/t or a/t? I got the impression it was the a/t... IMO the Nittos look much much better than the toyos as far as styling goes, and until this truck, I have always ran terra grapplers on my trucks and never had any problems with noise or tread wear. Theyre an all around excellent tire

Holy crap, Nittos are more expensive then Toyos? WTF? Its been the other way since the beginning of time.

The Nitto TG and the Toyo At are almost the same tire. Look at the thread pattern, very similar.

I went with Toyo MT's over the Nitto Trail Graps for that reason. When I compared prices, the Toyo's were over a hundred cheaper for the set.

i ran toyo A/T and got 100,000 km or 60,000 miles out of them they were awesome tires and i never really heard a whole lot of road noise out of them. great tire in my opinion.
