I haven't tried the lock pick system on a Chrysler produt, but we have used them for a very long time at the GM dealership that I work at. They make a great product, but their customer service is crap!

I just installed the chr550 so far it's ok I installed it last night so I haven't had to much time to play with it. But I wanted it for the ability to use the ves with my rear hearrests lcd's. And I wanted to be able to stream my iPad video to the rears also. I original had the rear screens hooked up to the lockpic video out and it didn't allow me to use the ves the way I wanted. So now I have them hooked up to the wireing harness. I'm looking for another small cheep screen to use with the lockpic outputs. I'm still figuring all the stuff out. It is loaded with options.

Now if you do not want to use the iPod or iPad with it. I would save your money and just get the v4. I still have my old IPHONE I'm using as an iPod hooked up to the factory USB in the glove box.

Does the chr550 show album art from your ipod on the main screen of the radio and why are you using the usb port in the glovebox and not the one that is attached to the chr550

I recently bought the Lockpick V4 for my RHR. I was going to buy the CHR550, but when I called, the guy I spoke with told me they were having some "bug" issues with it and recommended the V4 instead. I use my Iphone with the radio and to be honest with you, I really dont miss the extra features of the CHR550. You can stream video and album art from your phone or Ipad with the V4 if you buy the extra video cable, which is about $40 at the apple store. The CHR550 gives you a little more control over the Iphone. You can see the playlists and stuff like that. But with the V4, you can still skip to the next song or go back a song. The V4 also gives you the same VES functions and the ability to connect up to four cameras. For me, it was a no-brainer. If the guy who is selling the product is telling me to stay away from it, it's not worth the aggravation to have a couple of more features. I would recommend the V4.

I have the VR4 unit myself in my truck with my RBZ unit. Works great so far and I'm adding headrest monitors for my kids.

After a week of messing around with the chr550 I have to say it is awsome.
