I got my db all kit and harness last night and it came with no install manual . Just wanted to say thanks for your thred and vidieo. The install only took me 5 min because i allready knew what i needed to do before i even got it . The hardest part of the install was where to stuff the module and wires out of the way and safeley. It works like a charm Thanks again

I installed my DB-ALL and CHTHD1 t-harness this morning. Took about 4-6 minutes to do everything! Very happy!! I highly suggest this mod to everyone who is considering it!! I stuffed the DB-ALL behind the metal dash brace on just on the right side. Perfect place for it. WORKS GREAT!!

Default hood pin and toggle switch

did you install the hoodpin saftey switch and did your kit come with a manual ? mine did not and im having trouble installing the hood pin i did get a bag full of harnesses for the hard wire instalation but i used the harness kit . im not sure what color wire and plug is for the hoodpin i did find a diagram on the web that shows the black harness pluged into number 10 and the black with white wire going to the hood pin and switch i just want to make sure this is done right i dont want this to start by mistake while some tech is working on my truck changing the oil . I was so happy and proud of myself when i had mine installed in 5 min and it was working perfectley then i realised the other mandatory saftey switches still needed to be installed and wired someone help me

the hood pin is mounted in a hole under the hood along the rim of the engine bay. It has to be in a spot where the edge of the hood will cause the plunger of the hood pin to collapse when the hood is shut. The hood pin has to be in contact with metal to complete the circuit when the hood is open. On the end of the pin you can insert a bullet or female wire connector.

This wire can then be connected to pin 6 of the black 10 pin harness of the db-all, which is an input wire. When this input wire is connected to ground (through the hood pin switch or toggle switch), this will cause the db-all to not initiate a start sequence.

The "neutral safety switch" is a toggle switch that can be mounted anywhere you want and connected to ground on one side, and the same wire as the hood pin switch on the other. Turning the switch on is effectively sending wire 6 of the black 10 pin harness to ground. You can think of this as an on/off type switch for the rs.

As a side note: If you ever read of a neutral safety switch in a car, it typically means a switch that is connected in a way to show the car is actually in neutral, and can safely be started. What they are calling a "neutral safety switch" would really be a "safety switch" instead. Just a little fyi in case anyone ever gets confused.

Here is a link to the install manual of the db-all. It shows where the wire is located that needs to be hooked up.

thanks this is the last thing i needed to get done

When I installed mine I just installed the DB-ALL and T-Harness. Works perfect!! No need to install the hood pin or neutral safety swich to use this. I spoke with an installer locally to get his opinion and he said don't bother with installing these switches!...I feel they are only a safety thing so when you're working on your truck under the hood that it wont start up on you and tear you up...all you need to do and most of the time you should anyway is remove the negative battery cable when doing under hood work if you're worried...Just hook up the DB-ALL & T-Harness and have fun!!!
