Default welded rear

I am almost done with my 3/4 ton axle swap and the rear I am using is open. I dont want to spend the money on a posi unit and a friend of mine works at a machine shop and will weld my rearend together so its all time posi. Will I have any issues on the street driving around like this? Anyone here ever done this?

major wheel hop on paved roads with welded spider gears
major tire wear
a bit of moisture & your vehicle will be walking sideways

Yeah not a good idea for street driven vehicle. Anytime you turn the inside wheel will skip and be fighting you. Your tires will wear faster and maybe uneven. If you give it gas in a corner the rear will break loose and slide around. Also like GT said in water in a corner good luck keeping it on the road...

Look into a mini spool, they're inexpensive.

I would agree never weld a street truck just a temp fis until somethng comes loose and cost more in long run. Do a spool or just save and do it right the first time.
