The MPG might go up a bit as the engine loosens up. It does happen.

The meter - are you looking at the average MPG or the instantaneous MPG? The instantaneous MPG will bounce around a lot, depending on your throttle application.

The average MPG will also bounce around a lot for ~50-100 miles after you reset it. That's how an average works.

Mileage should improve a bit? LMAO. Come on now, it's a RAM not a Yugo.

Like I said in another post, if we were worried about the best gas milage in the world, we would not have bought our RAMs. But#1, I am getting 400 miles from a 26 gallon tank, and that isn't bad!

I got the truck on 1/26/12 and here's what I've tracked so far:
Dates are fill ups, bolded is milage, and last number is octane/comment.

Clearly octane has no effect, but Costco only has 87 or 93. I hardly ever used 4x4, and the truck has 3.92 gears and LSD.
