Default programmer Question

I am looking at getting a tuner for my truck I am looking at superchips and hypertech which one of those is the better one? I am also wondering does the thermostat that they sell help with the performance part of the tuning I already have a specter cai and flowmaster 40 3" dual exaust out the back I want to get headers yet but I need the programmer to help with gas mileage I realize it wont help a ton but every bit helps plus I know the tuner helps with the compilation of mods on top of each other thanks guys!

flowmasters aren't helping performance, just loud...then again, I'm more familiar with hemi's, but my brother has a 5.9 dak that performs better with magnaflows than it did with flows, also has superchips that performs well... also changed a few things on it..

The hypertech doesn't do much for power on any vehicle. Superchips is a good one, though. Flowmaster doesn't make as much power because almost all of their mufflers are chambered, but you can get a magnaflow straight through. Most people compare power on a chambered flowmaster vs a straight through magnaflow, but that isn't fair. The brand doesn't make as much a difference as the design. If you were to order a straight through flowmaster, that would be about the same as a magnaflow. Hope I helped.

BTW, sick looking 360.

Headers and a high flow cat will reduce torque, I run LT headers, no cats and a magnaflow on my lightning and I went from 620rwtq to 597rwtq not any change in HP. I would run a magnaflow if I were you, JMHO.

I would take a look at the predator tuner. I just bought the newest tuner by DiabloSport the INTUNE and it has really woke up my truck. Not only that you can make adjustmets suchas rev limiter, speed limiter, throttle pressure/response etc. This is the second one I have owned. The last was for a Mach One. The company has really improved the product.
