Why would you not want it to disable MDS anyway? What are you trying to accomplish?

I have to disagree, just drove 1k miles and played with it a lot. While in "6" I would never see "ECO" or feel the 4 cylinders drop off.

IMO, it seems sluggish or less reactive to throttle and downshift while in traffic or other than just totally flat areas.

Tow Haul or selecting a gear from 1 to 6
keep you from having the MDS turn on.

My truck never goes into eco as long as you have it in manual, even if 6 th gear is selected.

When you turn ON tow/haul my truck WILL go into eco mode still. Only if you have it manually shifted in gears 1-6, then ECO will stay off.

actually it does i have been playing with the gear selector for about a week now and manually choosing your gears does disable the mds. If you manually choose your gears and put in sixth and get on the highway and set your cruise on 65 with the gear selector in 6 and ride and then bump it up one more time till there is no gear in the selector window it instantly go into mds, no only will you feel it you will hear it kick in.

No, not at all....except maybe a bit of a loss in mpg. Like your 8 cylinders? Use em all the time if you want. It won't hurt
