Mine doesn't. The owners manual even states that Tow/Haul mode disables Eco mode.

tow/haul mode is not correct at all I do this everyday and every time I drive the truck folks I am talking from experience

in the 2012's with a steering wheel shifter you put it in D and once your moving use the +- to get to 5th once in 5th hit both the +and- (+-) at the same time once and quickly it will automatically shift into 6th on the screen however all gears still work and everything works as normal all you have done is disabled MDS/ECO as I said I do it daily and I have gained MPG in both hwy and city

here's the link that 1st taught me how to do it

For everyday driving you are correct, that's exactly what I do when I don't want the MDS to kick in. However, Tow/Haul mode is something completely different. Think of it as "sport" mode, the shift points are more agressive, throttle response is different, and it kills the ECO mode. The owners manual tells you to use Tow/Haul mode when driving back roads/hilly roads to avoid excessive shifting and MDS engagement.

I agree tow/haul does have it's advantages but from what I have learned it limits you more so than the +- solution the tow haul mode actually robs you of a gear when the +- way allows for the full use of all 6 gears on the 2012's

Default Mds

As said in previous threads !
To turn off MDS just put your gear selector in the -/+ selector mode for 2009 - present models for Hemi 5 or 6 speed.(some people may know this as tiptronic, touchshift, sporttronic etc..) The tow/haul option will do the same but not recommend.( If you have lots of vehicle warranty left, then go for it )

Tow/Haul, is meant exactly for that.

The reason why people want to eliminate MDS is B/C they have after market exhaust and mod's done to there 50 thousand dollar fully loaded trucks. (CAN)

At cruising speeds highway/city, when the MDS kicks in i.e ( ECO, Fuel Saver).
The drone from the exhaust in city driving, makes your performance exhaust sound like its more less stalling. At highway speeds around 110-120 Km/H when MDS kicks in it has a real deep low drone that again sounds like Sh*T ! lol

jeepgrady,

Both my dealerships' Service Managers and more than a couple of Chrsylser Techs have confirmed the exact opposite of what you claimed.

No idea who's feeding you but you are clearly WRONG!

..... as Hemi Joe called you on.
