Default Dodge 5.2L Magnum 1/8 and 1/4 Times

Howdy all, what are your times with your 5.2L Magnum on the 1/4 and 1/8th?

I haven't had a change to put walter (my 95 5.2l ram van) on the strip, yet. But based on the results from a stock 94 ram van on found on the web, I shoud be doing 1/4 Mile in 17.1 and 1.8th in 10.6 Of course my ram van isn't fully stock and I was able to speed up my acceleration time of 0-60 in 10.36 seconds down to about 0-60 in 8.6 Seconds.

So I should have
1/4 16~
1/8 10~

Back in the 90's I had a rcsb 93 with a 318, a/t, and 3.55 open rear, (kinda ugly) that I bought new. I put a 160 t/s, a 3" turbo muffler with the tail pipe exiting before the rear tire, 14" open air cleaner and a $119.00 Mopar Performance ECU, it would run 15.50's @ 89-90 mph spinning the crap out of the right rear most of the way through 1st gear.

Wow, impressive times, these 5.2's always seem to do well in 1st and 2nd which doesn't surprise me because the transmissions the trucks would usually come with had some good gears.

Hey how the hell did you get a 5.2L M/P ECU for 119? I found one for 100 on ebay but they usually float for 350 bucks.

That was back in 94, I didn't even have to give them a core. If my memory serves me I ordered it from a dealer somewhere in California. The 93 had a slightly bigger cam and larger exhaust pipes.

Crap today has just gotten to expensive. Yea I think the 93 kept a cam profile similar to the older block, I do know that the 1995 year had a variety of cam profiles so it makes it difficult for me to track down which I have, the only thing I can do is to go by ear. I was going to put a meatier cam in the van but I keep running into ECM acceptance issues. Comp wants me to get the 20-608-9 which is just a stock replacement but thing is the stock cam doesn't even give as much HP and Torque as the stock cam does, But I think the purpose is that their is more of an option when it comes to degreeing the cam. But I just don't know.

Have you checked out the super charged dodge on youtube,

I would stick a kenne ball charger on the van but it doesn't fit and drive belts I would have to special order. I might save up and buy a broke down dodge cummins and play with that, I want a 3500 but anything with a diesel costs money. If only I can strike it rich.

Stock SST is only slightly faster then a stock regular ram. But I know the stock SST isn't supercharged, I think dodge should have made a supercharged SST stock just the dodge durango shelby! Those are awesome durangos. I think they could have gotten even more power if they tried doing more changes to the exhaust and the intake but chrysler...
